“What the hell is going on out front?!” My father demanded to know angrily while peeking out the blinds.

“I have no idea what that could possibly be about,” My mother said before my father opened the front door and started attempting to approach the calamity. I watched as my father stormed down the front door before several officers started screaming at him to come back inside.

“GET BACK INSIDE!” An FBI agent sternly commanded. My father immediately came back inside as if he was a child being commanded by his parents and shut the door. I was in such shock at what was occurring that I was almost entirely dissociated. I hardly even felt fear anymore, just a deep pain inside of my heart and numbness across my entire body. I felt an uncomfortable vibrating sensation throughout my body as well. After a few minutes of us all standing in fear and silence, an FBI agent knocked on our door assertively and loudly. My father immediately opened the door and asked what the agent needed help with. The agent was a black male of maybe 40 years old. He was bald, tall and had tattoos all over his arms. He was incredibly intimidating and terrifying, he almost looked as if he was from a video game or comic book. I didn’t even think people like this existed in real life.

“Mr. Wright, I’d like to speak to your son, Ethan Wright. He does live here, correct?” The agent said in a deep, nonchalant voice.

“Uh, yeah of course he’s right here.” My father said while pointing at me.

Even though he did the obviously correct thing to do, I still felt betrayed by him. Though just as betrayed as ever I suppose. This betrayal didn’t even feel much different than his usual behavior.

“I’m Agent Bichoka, and this is Agent Vasquerez,” The agent said while pointing to his partner standing next to him. His partner is a very large and fit male who I would not ever want to piss off.

“We’re investigating an attempted murder on a student at Oakmont High, and we’d like to have a conversation with your son immediately, can we do that?”

Agent Bichoka said in a concerned tone of voice.

“W-What? Attempted murder? At Oakmont?” My mother said with tears in her eyes.

“Yes there was an attempted murder of a young female student and we strongly believe your son may have been involved.” Agent Vasquerez said confidently.

“What? Ethan? Murder? This is ridiculous…” My father said in complete denial of the situation before looking at me with a furious expression of disbelief.

“I don’t know what he’s talking about! I have nothing to do with whatever this is!” I pleaded with everyone in the vicinity. My father looked back at Agent Bichoka, also with tears in his eyes.

“Do you need to talk to me as well?” My father asked the agent.

“Yes, actually that’d be excellent!” Agent Bichoka responded.

“Honey, wait, we need a lawyer first,” My mother said.

“Now now, I got this, I’m sure this is just a misunderstanding.
